Illumine our hearts, O Master Who loves mankind, with the pure light of Your divine knowledge. Open the eyes of our mind to the understanding of Your Gospel teachings. Implant also in us the fear of Your blessed commandments, that trampling down all carnal desires, we may enter upon a spiritual manner of living, both thinking and doing such things as are well-pleasing to You. For You are the illumination of our souls and bodies, O Christ our God, and unto You we ascribe glory, together with Your Father, Who is from everlasting, and Your Holy, good, and life-creating Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Once a week, brothers and sisters of St. Stephen's are getting together for Bible Study! We meet at a different person's home each time, and it is a wonderful opportunity to learn about God's word and each other. Father Mark is a great teacher and leads us in understanding the Bible according to the Holy Tradition of the Church. Now we all have new Orthodox Study Bibles and they are rich with spiritual guidance as well! After the class we usually have a meal and relax together.  It is a blessing to pray and learn together as a spiritual family.
